I must have to must need too very much want to TOUCH EVERYTHING!

.
Our dear Kaya who used to just quietly sit and observe the world passing her by, her private TV set of sorts, has decided that after 3.5 years of passive research she has to get into the field - submerge herself in the grit and grime of it all . She seems to have been re-programmed and is receiving some kind of signal that is telling her that she must, has to, really really needs to, absolutely must, definitely has to, MUST TOUCH EVERYTHING.

Don't get me wrong, we are very pleased that she is being proactive, seizing the world and experiencing it, but couldn't she continue to neglect this sense in favour of other sensory heavyweight like vision and smell; there is still a lot to be said for the wise look but don't touch saying. I don't even want to begin to mention the things that have tickled her touch receptors and almost made it through the gates of her lips to her taste buds (hint: it is created once a dog chews and digests its food) - is my cooking that bad that she's rather eat
s _ _ t ?

As we disinfect, scald and scrub our hands (I have to remove the crap from hers) more than we seem to in- and exhale these days, I am wondering when she is going to resurface from this phase and once again start monitoring the world while taking mental notes, instead of attempting to take it into her hands and eat it. Now that I think of it, that I consider of the amount of soap we have sudded in the past few weeks, I am beginning to suspect that Palmolive is emitting this TOUCH ALL signal in an effort to increase their profits...hmm...I might have to run an on-line search to see if we can start making our own suds (and mouthwash)!
